About the position

The Senior QA Automation Engineer I ETL Tester is responsible for solving complex automation challenges across multiple technologies while ensuring minimal maintenance. This role involves developing testing plans, leading a small team of Test Analysts, and continuously improving automation efficiency. The engineer will analyze system requirements, estimate resources for projects, and develop detailed test cases to ensure application quality. Collaboration with various teams is essential to remediate defects and enhance testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex automation challenges spanning multiple technologies.
• Continuously improve the efficiency of automation using innovative technologies.
• Develop testing plan scenarios for unit, process, function, integration, regression, and acceptance testing.
• Assist in identifying and establishing goals for testing cycles and manage software test environments.
• Lead a small team of Test Analysts to meet quality goals and schedules.
• Analyze system requirements and design documents.
• Estimate hours and resources needed for projects under test.
• Develop detailed test cases, scenarios, and scripts to ensure application quality.
• Write test plans in collaboration with QA and business teams.
• Design and develop usability testing scenarios and administer portions of the testing process.
• Use testing tools to plan, execute, and track quality assurance artifacts.
• Meet with PMO, Development, and Business to remediate defects.
• Attend product definition and design meetings to provide input on testing tools and approaches.
• Identify test data, environment setup, and configurations needed for testing.
• Work with Development, DBAs, and business to set up test environments.
• Present findings to management and project teams.
• Define criteria for testing, analyze results, and make recommendations to QA leadership.
• Identify and document software and systems defects across products and platforms.
• Help resolve moderately complex problems detected in testing.
• Provide triage support to Development, Business, and Test teams on issues.
• Inform management on resource requirements needed for software testing.

Requirements

• Good automation testing knowledge
• ETL experience & Database Testing
• Expert SQL Knowledge
• Selenium, TestNG and BDD framework knowledge
• Java knowledge
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
• Systems quality environment experience
• Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
