About the position

The Senior QA Automation Engineer at Synechron is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated testing solutions to ensure the quality and performance of software applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and improve testing processes, ultimately contributing to the delivery of high-quality software products.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test scripts for various applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application functionality and testing requirements.
• Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects.
• Maintain and enhance existing automated test frameworks and tools.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
• Report and track defects using appropriate tools and methodologies.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience with automation testing tools like Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
• Experience in financial services or banking domain.
