About the position

The Senior QA Automation Engineer at Deloitte is responsible for leading and executing test orchestration across the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This role emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. The position allows for minimal travel and focuses on delivering quality assurance automation solutions while working closely with product teams and managing junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and independently completing test orchestration across the SDLC.
• Translate business requirements and processes into technical requirements and configuration settings specific to software application solutions.
• Collect and escalate information needed from product teams, primarily U.S.-based.
• Collaborate across product teams to support and enhance QE automation.
• Responsible for Quality Chapter deliverables including traceability, automation coverage, environment capabilities, reporting, and analysis.
• Design, code, test, deploy, and maintain testing automation solutions for business functionality.
• Lead a work stream which may include directing the work of junior staff.
• Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and/or technical teams.
• Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of Automation Testing experience with automation tools such as Selenium, UI testing, Webservices Testing.
• 6+ years' experience with Java or Design, code, test, deploy and maintain automation solutions.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience creating and executing automation test scripts programming/development arena.
• Experience with system/integration/user acceptance testing.
• Experience with testing plans, documentation, process, and testing execution on multiple development deliverables.
• Ability to lead and manage resources across different testing disciplines.
