About the position

The Senior QA Automation Engineer will be part of the Sweep group at Tradeweb, responsible for maintaining and enhancing critical sweep trading systems. This role focuses on ensuring seamless, automated, and high-performance trading operations across various products. The engineer will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to uphold the highest quality standards in the systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated end-to-end test suites from scratch using Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools
• Analyze product requirements and write comprehensive end-to-end tests in Python, TypeScript, or similar
• Set up and maintain automated testing infrastructure in a staging environment
• Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure seamless integration of test automation in CI/CD pipelines
• Identify, document, and troubleshoot issues through testing phases, and track their resolution
• Provide detailed reporting on test outcomes and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance product quality

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with end-to-end test automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or similar
• Experience setting up automated test environments
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Experience with version control systems (Git, etc.) and Agile methodologies
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced engineering environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in financial or trading systems
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker
• Knowledge of SQL and experience analyzing database results to validate test outcomes
