About the position

The Senior QA Automation Test Engineer plays a crucial role in enhancing health outcomes for Centene's 28 million members by designing and developing automated test scripts. This position focuses on refining acceptance criteria into automated test cases, executing tests, and conducting code reviews while promoting best practices in test automation across the engineering organization.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops moderately complex automated test scripts using automation tools and scripting tools.
• Refines acceptance criteria into automated acceptance test cases/scripts and executes automated test scripts.
• Conducts test automation code reviews and promotes test automation best practices.
• Develops and executes manual and automated tests to report defects and verify resolutions.
• Implements standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation in line with the quality management system.
• Enforces quality standards by identifying and recommending new procedures and resolving outages.
• Stays updated with industry developments to ensure compliance with Centene's products and processes.
• Creates reports summarizing defects and recommending resolutions.
• Mentors and provides guidance for lower-level engineers.
• Integrates automated suite with CI/CD platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
• 4 - 6 years of related experience or equivalent experience reflecting the level of this position.
• Knowledge of Test Automation, Oracle, Java, Python, CI/CD tools, and cloud technologies.
