About the position

KUBRA is seeking a skilled Senior QA Engineer to join the Product Engineering team in Tempe, AZ. This hybrid role involves ensuring product implementations meet specifications and quality standards across various projects, including front-end web applications and back-end API testing. The Senior QA Engineer will create and execute test cases, develop automated tests, and collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.

Responsibilities

  • Create automated tests for new and existing functionalities, as well as system performance.
  • Analyze requirements, develop testing strategies, and write test cases.
  • Submit comprehensive defects using our bug tracking system.
  • Regress and verify defects as needed, record test results, and provide metrics.
  • Design test plans from business requirements and specifications.
  • Build and deploy software applications on multiple environments.
  • Provide work estimates.
  • Document procedural changes to improve company processes.
  • Help train Application Support staff on new products and features.
  • Work with Application Support staff to troubleshoot production issues.
  • Execute complex functional and unit test cases within test environments with a high degree of accuracy, including manual end-to-end testing.
  • Maintain test cases to be re-used for recurring and common (standard) projects.
  • Assist in the parallel running of the current system to ensure the new product results are validated against existing live applications.
  • Provide after hours support during maintenance windows as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent field experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role.
  • Experience using Linux/Unix/Windows OS.
  • Experience using automation testing tools (i.e. Cypress is preferred, Selenium, Ranorex).
  • Experience developing automated tests in one of the following programming languages: Java, JavaScript, C#.
  • Experience with shell scripting languages (i.e. Bash, Powershell).
  • Experience with source control systems (i.e. GIT).
  • Experience with testing web services.
  • Experience with one or more databases (i.e. SQL, Oracle, MySQL, Dynamo DB).
  • Experience with testing web applications in multiple browsers.
  • Experience with testing mobile applications for both Android and iOS devices.
  • Experience with creating automated test cases.
  • Experience with Accessibility, Security, Performance and Automated testing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in mobile application testing is an asset.
  • Software development experience is an asset.
