Responsibilities

• Develop validation strategies and execute test plans around new software features by collaborating with developers, designers, and product managers.
• Champion software quality and collaborate with QA team members to improve testing processes.
• Assist with regression testing, whether manual or automated.
• Develop deep expertise in the team's projects and systems to play a central role in risk assessment and prioritization decisions.
• Investigate and troubleshoot customer issues while ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the process.

Requirements

• Proven skills in hands-on testing and finding ways to break products.
• 5+ years experience with software testing in at least one of the following areas: Linux/Ubuntu servers, API/automation software, rich user interfaces, or device software.
• Expertise in developing test plans and test cases, assessing risk, and filing bugs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective program management skills to follow through on issues and track progress across multiple teams.
• Experience debugging and deep-diving into issues.
• An incredibly methodical and detail-oriented mindset.

Nice-to-haves

• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in hardware testing.
• Automation and scripting experience (Python).
• Experience with a logging analytics platform (Splunk).
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
