About the position

The Senior QA Engineer at Anduril Industries will lead comprehensive software testing efforts, both manual and automated, to ensure the quality and reliability of advanced imaging systems. This role involves developing innovative testing tools, integrating automation platforms, and maintaining meticulous test documentation to streamline QA processes. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product robustness and reliability, particularly in hardware-interfacing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough SITL and HITL testing of new software releases against varied sensor hardware to ensure robust integration and performance.
  • Utilize automated testing frameworks to create and maintain component-level test suites, enhancing code reliability and efficiency.
  • Design and perform system-level testing in outdoor and/or remote environments, ensuring comprehensive coverage under real-world conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams of software and hardware engineers to innovate testing methodologies for enhanced product robustness and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance with a focus on software testing in a hardware-interfacing environment.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and C++.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SITL and HITL testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.
  • Willingness to travel to outdoor and/or remote test locations as required.
