About the position

The Senior QA Engineer position at Robert Half involves a critical role in ensuring software quality through comprehensive testing strategies. This position focuses on both manual and automated testing, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior engineers. The role aims to enhance testing processes and integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of software development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and execute both manual and automated test cases for software functionality and performance validation.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium.
  • Perform API Testing and Database Validation, including creating and executing test suites in Postman for API endpoints and using SQL queries for data-centric scenarios.
  • Collaborate effectively with developers, product owners, and other QA team members to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Develop acceptance tests based on product owner requirements and identify quality issues promptly.
  • Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and expand automation capabilities to facilitate integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Act as a mentor to junior QA engineers, advocating for quality and implementing QA standards across the organization.
  • Establish and promote best practices for testing and automation within the team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior QA Engineer or similar role in software development
  • Proficiency in Android Development
  • Extensive experience with Atlassian Jira
  • Demonstrated ability in Bug Tracking
  • Advanced knowledge of Integration Testing
  • Proficiency in Jenkins for continuous integration
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies and practices
  • Experience in API Testing, including REST and SOAP APIs
  • Proficiency in implementing Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipelines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
