About the position

The Senior QA Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of software solutions provided by HCSS, a leader in the construction software industry. This position involves developing and maintaining automated test scripts, overseeing software validation functions, and collaborating with the development team to enhance product quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA practices and a passion for promoting quality standards within the team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts for applications.
• Oversee all software validation functions (testing, review, release) performed by the team.
• Ensure that all team input (models, requirements, designs) and output (features, releases) meet and exceed customer and stakeholder expectations.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand features and technical implementations.
• Grow the practice of high-quality behaviors in your team and other QA employees through teaching, coaching, improving efficiency, and promoting change.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a QA Engineer (typically more than 5 years).
• Proficiency with automation tools using JavaScript.
• Experience in creating and executing test plans and scripts for web applications.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
• Demonstrated advocacy for the growth of quality standards in software development.
• Proven track record of identifying risks in software and defending user experience.
• Desire to promote the growth of QA skills across the department and specifically in junior QA employees.
