About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer to join our dynamic technology team at Magellan Jets. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Java-based digital infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and extensive experience in testing Java applications with a microservices architecture. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks. You will also develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases specifically for Java-based applications. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely feedback. Conducting code reviews and participating in pair programming sessions will be part of your responsibilities to ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices. Additionally, you will monitor and analyze test results to identify trends and areas for improvement, contributing to the overall enhancement of our software quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Java-based applications.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely feedback.
• Conduct code reviews and pair programming sessions to ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices.
• Monitor and analyze test results to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on Java-based systems with a microservices architecture.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in using version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle and QA methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
