About the position

The position involves documenting software defects using a bug tracking system and reporting these defects to Software Developers. The role requires identifying, analyzing, and documenting problems related to program functionality, output, online screens, or content. A significant part of the job is to develop testing programs that address various areas, including database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, and usability testing. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for testing system modifications to prepare for implementation and monitoring bug resolution efforts while tracking successes. The position also entails reviewing software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and completeness, as well as to mitigate risks associated with software deployment. The candidate will need to install, maintain, or utilize software testing programs and may be involved in designing or developing automated testing tools. Initial debugging procedures will be performed by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine the source of breakdowns. Furthermore, the role includes evaluating or recommending software for testing or bug tracking purposes. The tools and technologies utilized in this position include Oracle, SQL Systems, QC, Agile (Scrum), ALM, JIRA, TOAD, SOAP UI, among others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or its equivalent.
  • Five years of relevant experience.
