About the position

The Senior QA Tester position is a contract role based in Omaha, NE, focusing on ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications within the healthcare sector. The primary responsibilities include reviewing software requirements, preparing comprehensive test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing, executing tests, and reporting defects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare testing, particularly in backend data validation, and will possess strong SQL skills. In this role, the candidate will be expected to have a deep understanding of the healthcare insurance industry, including key processes such as Enrollment, Billing, Claims Processing, and EDI. The candidate must be able to articulate the medical insurance business processes and demonstrate experience in managing teams, particularly offshore teams. With over 8 years of testing experience, the candidate will be responsible for designing and creating regression test scenarios and validating backend data effectively. Familiarity with medical insurance systems such as Healthedge and Health Rules is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Review software requirements to ensure clarity and completeness.
