At Kipsu, our QA team plays a key role in ensuring that our product is of high quality. They take a leading role in guiding these efforts in both the short and long term, and help share our culture of quality and commitment to serving our customers. QA is part of an expanding team of five within our Engineering team, and works closely with our Software Engineers and Product Analysts, as well as our Support team.

Responsibilities

  • Write and execute test plans on new features, enhancements, and bug fixes
  • Create test plans for large cross-functional team initiatives
  • Review and contribute to product design and technical design documentation as it pertains to test coverage and quality considerations
  • Perform release testing and handle release communication in conjunction with our release cycle
  • Verify and reproduce bugs reported by customers
  • Maintain a library of system test plans and perform regression testing
  • Assist in maintaining and developing end-to-end test automation
  • Assist in the growth and development of the QA organization by encouraging and proposing QA best practices
  • Uphold disciplined structure to documentation and communication of test plans and results
  • Act as a subject matter expert by obtaining product expertise through everyday interactions with our system

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Quality Analyst and/or Engineer
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership role of some kind, formal or informal
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress or Playwright
  • Basic understanding of APIs. This could be using tools like Postman or Swagger, or via code.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Self starter who can hit the ground running
  • Attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to collaborate with Engineering, Product and customer-facing teams
  • Ability to mentor and guide peers when needed
  • Ability to Identify and address non-functional testing needs (performance, security, accessibility)
  • Ability to communicate effectively on technical concepts with technical and non-technical audiences
