About the position

As a Senior Quality Design Solutions Architect at Electronic Arts, you will focus on creating scalable automated test frameworks and improving the operational efficiency of quality assurance (QA) efforts. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure high-quality feature development, mentoring test teams, and utilizing data analytics to guide testing strategies. You will report to a Development Director II and work on department-level projects aimed at enhancing QA practices.

Responsibilities

  • Create scalable automated test frameworks and create test automation.
  • Facilitate and define the execution of end-to-end feature quality strategy.
  • Partner with senior development, production, design, and QV team members to ensure high-quality features.
  • Guide feature quality by analyzing internal development & live player data, completing testing strategies, and conducting design reviews.
  • Mentor local and remote test teams to help them solve complex problems and grow their capabilities.
  • Identify risks to the feature and overall project early, partnering with development and other teams to determine mitigation strategies.
  • Work directly with QV Engineering and Data Analyst team members to provide a comprehensive picture of testing status and development progress.
  • Partner with engineers to improve the QA process through automation and tools.

Requirements

  • 7+ years testing on multiple platforms, including Mobile, PC, Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox.
  • 5+ years using game development tools to enhance white and gray-box testing strategies.
  • Experienced in defining test strategy, test automation/frameworks, and telemetry.
  • Ability to understand/contribute to metrics, analytics, SQL, and data visualizations to guide discussions on risk and priority.
  • Understanding of game development, interdisciplinary dependencies, and associated development risks.
  • Experience working within a collaborative team environment across many locations/time zones.
  • Experience with API testing, Performance testing, AI/ML, and Mobile test automation.
  • Unreal Experience.
