About the position

As a Senior Quality Specialist at SAP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of software products throughout the entire software development lifecycle. This position involves managing test automation, creating test plans, and implementing quality strategies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality.

Responsibilities

• Participate in every phase of the software development process including design, development, and testing with a strong focus on security validation and performance testing.
• Oversee the management and coordination of test automation tools, develop test plans, schedule tests, and report on quality status frequently.
• Analyze, define, implement, and execute quality and test-related activities in alignment with the established quality and test strategy.
• Engage product, cross-functional, or testing teams with a particular focus on quality assurance and test-related tasks integral to the product creation process.
• Create comprehensive test designs, including test system landscape definitions, prepare test data, and author and execute both manual and automated tests.
• Thoroughly analyze test results, identify issues, and take appropriate follow-up actions.
• Author performance scripts and evaluate the performance of cloud technology platforms.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for teams, providing guidance on quality assurance and test-related processes, methods, and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with six years of progressive experience in relevant roles, or a Master's Degree with four years of relevant experience.
• At least four years of experience in defining and updating performance engineering processes.
• Experience analyzing Java profiling, heap and thread dumps for problem identification.
• Proven ability to identify root causes of performance bottlenecks in Java and Springboot applications and SaaS applications.
• Experience scaling enterprise applications on Cloud and Kubernetes clusters.
• Proficiency in designing load testing for cloud-based applications using JMeter and LoadRunner.
• Experience managing API Gateway and tuning RHEL 8.x and Java.
• Knowledge of optimizing cloud and cloud-based applications on Google Cloud and AWS.
