About the position
The Senior Quantum Algorithms Researcher will play a pivotal role in advancing the field of quantum computing by developing innovative methods and insights that contribute to the quantum roadmap. This position involves conducting theoretical research in areas such as quantum error correction, fault-tolerant algorithms, and quantum simulation, while also mentoring junior researchers and influencing the overall research strategy.
Responsibilities
- Advance the field of quantum computing through theoretical research.
- Develop new methods and insights for quantum algorithms.
- Shape and execute the quantum roadmap.
- Conduct research in quantum error correction, fault-tolerant algorithms, and quantum simulation.
- Mentor junior researchers and guide their development.
- Influence the research strategy and agenda.
Requirements
- Experience in an academic graduate program related to quantum computing.
- Demonstrated independent theoretical research capabilities.
- Strong publication record in high-impact journals or top conference proceedings.
- Experience leading collaborative research projects.
Nice-to-haves
- Programming experience in core scientific languages such as Python, NumPy, SciPy, and Matplotlib.
- Familiarity with Git and/or GitHub.
- Experience writing proposals and participating in grants.
