Senior Radar Software Engineer

About the position

Leidos Dynetics is seeking a Senior Radar Software Engineer to join a diverse team focused on creating innovative solutions for complex problems in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial sectors. The role involves developing radar and missile system simulations, integrating software into customer environments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop C++ simulations of radar and missile systems in software-based and hardware-in-the-loop configurations.
• Create C# or LAN web-based custom graphical user-interface tools for simulation control and real-time visualization.
• Integrate simulations into customer software environments through software interface and plugin development.
• Create deployable professional software deliveries with supporting documentation, including version descriptions and test results.
• Develop continuous build and test toolsets for automated release candidate generation and verification.
• Collaborate with external customers to elicit requirements and define project goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Background in C++ software development.
• Comprehensive understanding of digital signal processing techniques for radar.
• Minimum of 8 years of RF or EW software engineering experience.
• Hands-on laboratory experience with instrumentation, test equipment, and debug/test methods.
• Ability to work in a collaborative engineering environment with a multidisciplinary team.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio, MATLAB, Atlassian products (JIRA, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Confluence, HipChat), Git, and Jenkins.
• Working knowledge of radar fundamentals.
