About the position

The Senior RCDD Designer at Olsson will play a crucial role in the Facility Engineering and Design Team, focusing on engineering innovation for large commercial developments, healthcare facilities, and data centers. This position requires a blend of expertise and creativity to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that positively impact communities. The designer will utilize CAD/BIM software to create detailed designs, oversee smaller projects, and represent the company's commitment to excellence in client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Master CAD/BIM software to create detailed engineering designs, focusing on efficient data center/building cable routing, equipment layouts, and communication systems.
• Serve as the design authority on projects, driving high-quality outcomes and pioneering solutions.
• Lead smaller projects with meticulous attention to detail, overseeing each phase from inception to completion.
• Represent Olsson's dedication to excellence and partnership in client meetings.
• Visit job sites as required, adapting to diverse conditions to guarantee project success.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Drafting and Design preferred.
• 6+ years of CAD/BIM experience; proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• RCDD Licensure.
• Demonstrated ability to design and layout complex engineering drawings, with a preference for experience in BIM 360, Navisworks, and Revit.
