About the position

The Senior React Developer position is a critical backfill role that requires a highly skilled individual to contribute to the development and enhancement of software solutions within a hybrid work environment based in Charlotte, NC. This role is expected to start as soon as possible and will last until the end of January. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in frontend engineering, particularly with technologies such as NodeJS, ReactJS, Google Cloud Platform, TypeScript, JavaScript, and various database systems. With a minimum of 10 years of experience specifically in React, the candidate will be expected to collaborate closely with executives to define business requirements and functional specifications, translating them into logical program designs and code modules. In this role, the Senior React Developer will recommend long-term strategic technical directions for the development and configuration of integrated business applications. They will contribute to research and development efforts that drive business innovation and growth, while also engaging with key stakeholders to discuss business strategies and opportunities. The candidate will be responsible for examining trends and identifying improvement opportunities for system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) across various application initiatives. The Senior React Developer will also play a pivotal role in enforcing solution architecture standards throughout the product lifecycle, leveraging their knowledge of technological market trends. They will influence organizational architecture and priorities, applying their expertise to simplify and improve existing systems. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to mentor junior software engineers, providing guidance and support as a subject-matter expert. This position also involves contributing to the company's strategy for Intellectual Property (IP) and making recommendations regarding open-source technology contributions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with executives to identify the strategy for business requirements and functional specifications in logical program designs, code modules, systems, and software solutions.
  • Recommends the long-term strategic technical direction for the development, configuration, or modification of integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions with various computing environments.
  • Contributes to the research and development of techniques and technology that fuels business innovation and growth.
  • Understands and contributes to the visionary perspective of implementing and maintaining business and enterprise software solutions; partners with executives to impact and influence strategy.
  • Facilitates engagement with key business stakeholders in discussion on business strategies and opportunities.
  • Examines trends and improvement opportunities for system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) for cross-functional application initiatives.
  • Recommends product selection and enforces solution architecture standards across the product lifecycle phases by reviewing and sharing technological market trends and metrics.
  • Understands organization architecture, how architectures scale; influences priorities/trade-offs; applies knowledge to invent, evolve, improve, simplify, etc.
  • Recommends the strategy for engineering, test, and operational excellence to drive best practices; establish programming languages and standards.
  • Anticipates upcoming complexities or problems and recommends proactive resolutions.
  • Follows emerging technologies and company roadmaps, and provides critical input that informs leadership decisions to purchase and leverage new technologies.
  • Serves as a subject-matter-expert and mentor to more junior level software engineers.
  • Informs and helps develop the company's strategy for Intellectual Property (IP).
  • Recommends the most appropriate strategy for Lowe's contribution to open-source technology.
  • Provides critical input and recommendations that help establish engineering standards and programming languages for the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field.
  • 15 years of experience in software development or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in database technologies.
  • 10 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC).
