About the position

The Senior React Developer role at ABBTECH Professional Resources, Inc. is a remote position that requires a strong background in React JS technologies. The primary responsibility of this role is to design, develop, and test applications using React JS, facilitating the entire application development process from development to quality assurance and production deployment. The developer will need to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current system infrastructure, security needs, network considerations, and methodologies to effectively contribute to the project. In this position, the Senior React Developer will focus on programming with ReactJS, integrating designs and wireframes into application code, and writing application interface code using JavaScript. The role involves translating wireframes and designs into high-quality code, optimizing components for seamless functionality across various browsers and devices, and developing responsive web-based user interfaces. Additionally, the developer will support the organization's ecosystem by ensuring that technologies are updated with current, stable, and compliant architecture that meets enterprise standards. The Senior Developer will be responsible for writing clean, scalable code, refactoring and debugging existing code, improving software, and testing and deploying applications and systems. Documentation throughout the development lifecycle is crucial, as is providing technical support to the team. Collaboration with internal teams to produce software design and architecture is also a key aspect of this role. The developer will proactively monitor and report on the performance utilization of assigned technologies, troubleshoot software and hardware issues, and manage escalated tickets and requests from systems/software owners. This position may also involve coordinating activities of application developers and delivering support for industry-specific applications that require integration with statewide systems or applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test applications using React JS technologies.
  • Integrate designs and wireframes within application code.
  • Write application interface code with JavaScript.
  • Translate wireframes and designs into quality code.
  • Optimize components for seamless functionality across different browsers and devices.
  • Develop responsive web-based user interfaces.
  • Support the organization's ecosystem by ensuring technologies are updated with current, stable, and compliant architecture.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.
  • Write clean, scalable code using ReactJS programming languages.
  • Refactor and debug code, improve existing software, and test and deploy applications and systems.
  • Develop documentation throughout the development process's lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support to the team.
  • Proactively monitor and report performance utilization of assigned technologies.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware issues/failures.
  • Manage problem or escalated tickets, tasks, and out-of-cycle requests from systems/software owners.
  • Determine the best course of action for meeting business needs and provide consultative expertise to customers.
  • Identify broader, more complex issues across multiple technologies and communicate as appropriate.
  • Provide technical knowledge and support to District agencies and stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Enterprise Web Development experience.
  • 2 years of experience in working with React-UI framework (React.js).
  • Experience in working with ReactJS, RXJS, NodeJS, ES6/5.
  • Experience in REDUX architecture.
  • Experience in working with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular 2.0, React.JS, and Bootstrap.
  • Experience in developing React Native components.
  • Experience in working with JSX (JavaScript Syntax Extension).
  • Experience in working with REST APIs.
  • Experience in working with JSON and XML.
  • Experience in translating wireframes and designs for development.
  • Experience in CSS libraries, Sigma, Adobe XD.
  • Experience in working with Angular 2.0 is a big plus.
  • Experience in working with Spring Boot and Spring Technologies is a plus.
  • Experience in working with any REACT-based UI toolkit is a plus.
  • Experience with ReactJS workflows like Flux, Redux, Create React App, data structure libraries.
  • Experience with GIT version control repository (Required - 3 Years).
  • Experience with Tomcat/Jetty/undertow Application Servers (Required - 3 Years).
  • Experience with LINUX working environment (Required - 3 Years).
  • Experience with JIRA Issue tracker (Required - 3 Years).
  • RedHat OpenShift Container-based application development and deployment experience (Desirable).
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development practice (Desirable).
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
