Sonic Healthcare USA is the largest medical laboratory in the world and the third largest in the United States. As part of our strategic shift towards becoming a competitive player in technology, we have developed a web application called LabIS, which aims to set the gold standard for workflow and information management across all our laboratory operations. The Senior React Developer will play a crucial role in the LabIS team, contributing to the development and enhancement of this application. In this position, you will engage in greenfield development of an enterprise laboratory information system, focusing on creating innovative solutions that will drive our business forward. You will be responsible for developing automated environment deployment solutions using technologies such as Kubernetes, Jenkins, and S3. Your work will involve creating features that leverage real-time feedback loops to enhance our operational efficiency and service delivery. As a Senior React Developer, you will collaborate closely with peers and key stakeholders to design and plan new software applications and upgrades to existing systems. You will be expected to adhere to organizational UI standards and provide complexity estimations for features. Your role will also encompass application development and testing, where you will employ Test Driven Development (TDD) practices to ensure the stability and functionality of the software. You will deliver clean, readable code, document your development work, and participate in peer reviews to maintain high-quality standards. In addition to development tasks, you will work with support teams to triage defects and participate in efforts to reduce technical debt. Given the nature of our work in a 24/7 healthcare environment, you will need to be available to address emergency issues as they arise. You will also contribute to fostering a positive team culture by seeking opportunities to improve team dynamics and ensuring secure data communications in compliance with HIPAA regulations. This role requires the ability to work in a highly secured development environment, emphasizing collaboration and communication across various teams.
