About the position

The Senior Native Application Developer will play a crucial role in developing high-quality web and mobile applications for a large industrial customer base. This fully remote position requires a collaborative team player with strong communication skills and a commitment to coding standards and best practices. The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate project requirements into technical solutions, mentor junior developers, and stay updated with emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust and scalable web and mobile applications using React Native.
  • Utilize AWS services, including Amplify, AppSync, Lambda, and Cognito.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Lead and enforce coding standards and best practices.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in React Native and Kotlin.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on React Native Application development.
  • Strong proficiency in React Native.
  • 2+ years of experience with AWS Amplify or another GraphQL implementation.
  • Solid understanding of modern software development principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior developers.
  • Ability to thrive in a fully remote work environment and effectively manage time and tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with serverless architectures and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of TypeScript or other strongly typed languages.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a strong presence in the developer community.
