About the position

Cognizant is seeking a Senior React UI Developer to join its Digital Engineering practice. This role involves designing and developing scalable, efficient, and user-friendly UI components using React, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in UI development, particularly in the banking domain, and will be responsible for implementing automated testing and deployment scripts, ensuring code quality, and mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, scalable, and secure UI components using React
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
• Implement automated testing and deployment scripts
• Ensure high-quality code, following best practices and industry standards
• Troubleshoot and debug UI issues
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in UI development with React
• Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and UI design principles
• Expertise in AWS services (S3, CloudFront, Lambda, API Gateway)
• Experience with process automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles and Agile methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice-to-haves

• Banking domain experience
• Knowledge of state management libraries (Redux, MobX)
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Java Basic
• Certification in AWS or related technologies
• Familiarity with accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1)
