About the position

The Senior Recruiter at GAF is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruiting process for exempt level positions across various corporate functions and manufacturing locations. This role requires a deep understanding of GAF's business and technical processes to effectively fill critical positions. The Senior Recruiter will develop innovative sourcing strategies, mentor junior staff, and lead recruitment initiatives that enhance diversity and inclusion within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage full-cycle recruiting efforts including talent sourcing, candidate evaluation & screening, interview process, offer negotiations, closeout process, and new hire onboarding.
  • Lead consultative recruiting planning sessions with key stakeholders to establish expectations and timelines for the recruiting process.
  • Develop sourcing strategies and establish communication protocols with hiring managers and HR teams.
  • Manage professional level requisitions (15+ open requisitions) across multiple locations.
  • Participate in Career Fair events with a focus on enhancing Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.
  • Source, evaluate, and qualify top talent using various recruitment tools and platforms.
  • Lead unique staffing initiatives for niche/emerging technological skillsets.
  • Build strategic relationships with local professional groups and affinity organizations for pipeline development.
  • Research emerging talent trends and align them with GAF's strategic business direction.
  • Conduct interviews and facilitate debrief sessions for final candidate selection.
  • Recommend and extend offers to candidates, coordinating with hiring managers and HR partners.
  • Administer hiring processes to ensure compliance with EEO legislation and other government requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Required
  • Minimum 8 years experience in dedicated Corporate Recruiting or Agency Recruiting Required
  • Relevant Technical/Industry Experience Required
  • Advanced knowledge of standard HR concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Strong experience developing and executing proactive sourcing strategies
  • Ability to manage, prioritize, and close recruiting searches within a timeline.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Advanced project management skills
  • Fluent in G-Suite and MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Intermediate understanding of AAP guidelines
