About the position

The Senior Recruiter at Gordon Food Service plays a crucial role in the Talent Acquisition team, acting as a liaison between hiring managers and candidates. This position is responsible for enhancing the recruitment process, ensuring compliance, and improving the candidate experience while supporting the overall talent acquisition strategy for assigned business units.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate the recruiting process to ensure effective resource utilization.
  • Execute talent procurement from identifying sourcing strategies to closing requisitions.
  • Provide input for talent acquisition system enhancements to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for improving business support, compliance, and candidate experience.
  • Create a shared accountability environment with hiring managers.
  • Counsel hiring managers on market conditions and competitive intelligence.
  • Educate internal customers on the recruiting and selection process through training sessions.
  • Execute proactive sourcing strategies using various methods including boolean searches and social media.
  • Collaborate with local and Shared Services teams to plan and execute recruiting processes.
  • Contribute thought leadership to sourcing plans at both national and local levels.
  • Provide input for content used in social media campaigns and other sourcing channels.
  • Ensure interview guides and evaluation tools are objective and job-related.
  • Balance business needs, compliance requirements, and candidate experience in selection processes.
  • Utilize and analyze recruiting metrics and reporting.
  • Participate on project teams as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of recruiting experience or seven or more years of progressive recruiting experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related area preferred.
  • Relevant Recruiting certifications such as AIRS Professional Recruiter Certification, ASA Certified Staffing Professional, or general HR certifications (PHR, SPHR) preferred.
