About the position

The Sr. Channel Manager at Optimum is responsible for leading a team of Indirect Agents within the Partner Sales Channel. This role focuses on recruiting, training, and supervising agents to meet and exceed sales goals, thereby growing the subscriber base. The position involves developing sales plans, improving performance, and enhancing both partner and customer experiences through effective collaboration and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support efforts to simplify and enhance the partner and customer experience.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing team by recruiting, training, coaching, and developing agent partners.
  • Train agent partners on new promotions, products, and corporate initiatives.
  • Collaborate with national partners to improve sales and customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal resources for effective job performance.
  • Create and coordinate promotional and incentive ideas to achieve sales goals.
  • Interface with sales channels for special events setup and staffing.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of company equipment.
  • Set expectations for job performance and conduct annual reviews of team members.
  • Manage existing customer base and effectively handle churn.
  • Make recruitment decisions and recommendations for agent actions.
  • Handle expense reconciliation, compensation, and budget preparation for the Partner Sales Channel.
  • Assist the team in developing new accounts and event participation.
  • Act as a liaison for resolving customer service issues.
  • Remain knowledgeable on pricing, offers, products, and services, and deliver sales meetings to the team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales management or channel management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Experience in training and coaching sales teams.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess performance and implement improvements.
