About the position

The Senior Regional/National Sales Manager at Shankar Distillers is responsible for overseeing sales operations, developing strategic sales plans, and managing a team of sales representatives. This role focuses on driving revenue growth through effective relationship management with distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders in the liquor and beverage industry.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets and enhance market share.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing ongoing coaching and performance evaluations to ensure team effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retail partners to drive sales and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify new business opportunities and competitive advantages.
  • Oversee the regional sales budget, ensuring resource allocation aligns with strategic objectives.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports for upper management, providing insights on sales performance and market dynamics.
  • Work closely with marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment on promotions, product launches, and branding efforts.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the liquor or beverage industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed business decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
