About the position

The Senior Reimbursement Manager, Medicare/Medicaid at Providence is responsible for analyzing and communicating the financial implications of federal and state legislation and regulatory activities. This role involves overseeing complex strategic initiatives related to reimbursement methodologies for Medicare and Medicaid, ensuring operational implementation of reimbursement strategies, and providing proactive guidance across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and communicate the financial implications of federal and state legislation and regulatory activity.
• Oversee various complex strategic initiatives related to cost-based optimization strategies and reimbursement methodologies for Medicare and Medicaid.
• Implement operational strategies for reimbursement initiatives and provide proactive guidance for the system, including evaluation, planning, and coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics/Statistics, or equivalent education and experience.
• 7+ years of experience in finance, operations, or regulatory compliance with expert knowledge of reimbursement and reporting rules and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Healthcare.
• CPA upon hire.
• 7+ years of experience in consulting within a multi-hospital system or Medicare Administrative Contract.
• 2+ years of experience in program management.
• Advanced level knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and reporting rules and regulations.
