About the position

The Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) is seeking a motivated individual to join the AI Integration team, focusing on the Cognitive Mission Manager and Cognitive Baseline programs. This role involves leveraging cutting-edge machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies to develop innovative solutions that enhance military operations and other critical applications. The selected candidate will engage in all phases of the system development lifecycle, from requirements generation to deployment, and will work on projects that range from research and proof of concepts to production transitions.

Responsibilities

• Develop technologies and products leveraging Artificial Intelligence for customer capabilities.
• Engage in all phases of the system development lifecycle including requirements generation, design, implementation, integration, and testing.
• Utilize AI paradigms such as computer vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning to solve complex problems.
• Support the transition of AI prototypes to production environments.
• Collaborate with small, innovative teams to iterate and mature solutions from prototypes to deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience with a related Master's degree.
• Experience using AI/ML frameworks (Pytorch, Tensorflow, etc.).
• Proficiency with libraries such as NumPy, OpenCV, Scikit, Pandas, etc.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or GO.
• Experience providing best practices and design principles in program technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with establishing a learning environment and training a reinforcement learning agent.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools: Docker, Git, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment.
• Experience writing Dockerfiles and Kubernetes deployment scripts.
• Experience interfacing with databases (SQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Familiarity with cloud platform management including AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure.
