About the position
The Senior Relationship Banker at HomeStreet Bank is responsible for acquiring, retaining, and expanding customer relationships within the retail banking sector. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service, guiding customers through their banking needs, and recommending appropriate products and services. The position involves a mix of sales and service activities, including processing transactions, opening accounts, and originating consumer loans, all while ensuring a superior customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Effectively interview and profile customers to recommend appropriate banking products and services.
- Partner with other business lines within the Bank to identify sales opportunities and enhance customer experience.
- Process complex transactions such as changing account ownership and managing estate assignments.
- Originate consumer loans, advocating for customers to ensure prompt processing.
- Open and close various customer accounts including checking, savings, and IRAs.
- Actively pursue sales opportunities and cross-sell bank products to meet customer needs.
- Participate in sales programs to generate new customers and meet referral goals.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service and support branch lobby management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service and sales within a banking or financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge of banking products and services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle complex transactions and resolve customer issues effectively.
