About the position

As a Senior Reliability Engineer at Anduril Industries, you will play a crucial role in supporting product development and ensuring that products meet mission performance and customer requirements. You will be responsible for leading reliability efforts throughout the new product development life cycle, from identifying risks early in the design phase to supporting field performance monitoring and recommending improvements. This position requires a hands-on approach and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to build world-class reliability processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support Design & Development Engineers to identify risks early using tools like Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and Physics of Failure Methodologies.
  • Coordinate mitigation action plans to proactively lead the Design Reliability Effort for assigned products.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in the Design Requirements Process to ensure adherence to Hardware Design Best Practices.
  • Lead, draft, and tailor Validation Test Plans and Qualification Test Plans in collaboration with the Chief Architect and Product Manager.
  • Present risk profiles and deliverables for various product maturity levels during reviews.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action for issues found during R&D and Qualification testing.
  • Lead acceptance test requirements for production and partner with Quality Engineering for assembly plans.
  • Host regular metrics reviews to highlight key problem areas and propose corrective actions.
  • Ensure lessons learned are communicated with stakeholders and actions are implemented timely.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years Industry Experience as a Reliability Engineer, Design Engineer, Development Engineer, or Test Engineer.
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or Physics.
  • Experience with Advanced Hardware Systems, autonomous ground systems, and complex electronics systems.
  • Experience with Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis Methodologies, and Risk management.
  • Experience outlining test plan requirements.
  • Experience with HALT, Environmental Testing, and Mechanical Loads Testing.
  • Experience with ESS and requirements decomposition for Software & Hardware.

Nice-to-haves

  • M.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or Systems Engineering.
  • Experience with analysis tools such as Relyence, Ansys FEA, Sherlock, and NCode.
  • Hands-on Test Engineering Experience.
  • Modeling/CAD Experience.
  • Experience with Camera/Sensing Technology and radar systems.
  • Technical writing experience for standards and user guides.
  • Experience in Preventive Maintenance & Sparing Plan Development.
