About The Position

The Senior Reliability Maintenance Technician at AbbVie plays a crucial role in the maintenance department, focusing on training lower-level technicians and leading initiatives for technical, safety, and process improvements. This position requires a high level of expertise in maintenance practices and collaboration with various teams to ensure reliable equipment and adherence to quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of work experience or a College degree, college certificate, or formal apprenticeship and 5+ years of work experience related to skilled trades or other relevant technical degree.
  • Experience working in an industrial manufacturing facility is desired.
  • CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using the AbbVie CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) and Maximo, and intermediate skills with MS Office Suite (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to effectively conduct root cause analysis and make sound decisions.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate and present information in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools, such as machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools.
  • Electrical skills and knowledge may be required in some AbbVie Maintenance organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Abbvie's code of conduct, and to safety and GMP regulations.
  • Maintain the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met.
  • Work closely with the Department of Reliability Engineering for Maintenance Program development, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis.
  • Facilitate workshops as necessary.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in advanced skilled trade disciplines to contribute to the development and delivery of technical training modules and on-the-job trainings (OJTs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams outside of the maintenance organization to support continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives.
