About the position

LMI is seeking a Senior Research Analyst to support the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering's Rapid Defense Experimentation Reserve (RDER) initiative. This role involves accelerating technologies from prototypes to validated military capabilities, requiring strong research and analytical skills to conduct risk-to-transition analyses for various RDER projects. The position demands an Active Top Secret or TS clearance with SCI eligibility and involves on-site work in the National Capital Region.

Responsibilities

• Support Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) risk-to-transition analyses for RDER projects.
• Conduct research on DoD technologies, training, experiments, and organizations.
• Identify trends and draw conclusions from data analysis.
• Prepare finished analytical products, including briefings and technical reports.
• Travel to and/or work from government facilities in the National Capital Region, including the Pentagon and Mark Center.
• Attend events and interview stakeholders, which may require travel outside the National Capital Region.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a field that requires research and writing.
• 10-15 years of experience leading and conducting research and analysis.
• Demonstrable advanced research, critical thinking, analysis, and writing experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Active Top Secret or TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
