About the position

The Quantitative & Screening Operations Pod within Consumer Insights is dedicated to developing solutions for quantitative research projects and programs. This includes collaborating on custom quantitative research projects, global trackers, and online screenings. Our team employs best practices alongside innovative methodologies to effectively capture the voice of the consumer. We are currently seeking a Senior Research Analyst to join the CI Core Group, which focuses on executing primary research and maintaining quality standards for ongoing research projects. In this role, you will partner with Core, Research Program Managers, and Consumer Insights Researchers to execute internal research projects. You will also be responsible for identifying and driving opportunities to innovate and enhance efficiency in internal member sampling and sampling workstreams. Your strategic thinking and insatiable curiosity about business and research will enable you to proactively consider sampling strategies that support qualitative and quantitative programs in collaboration with Researchers and Program Managers. Your familiarity with consumer research will allow you to effectively decipher and translate research questions, leading sampling strategies within the consumer research context. You will utilize your sampling and analytical skills to plan and execute research sampling across a global research team, managing multiple and diverse workstreams simultaneously. Additionally, your project management skills will be crucial in developing and leading end-to-end workflows for sampling and messaging members for research purposes, including leading recurring meetings with Program Managers and initiating kick-off meetings with Researchers. A global-first mentality is essential, as you will need to design best-fit tools and methodologies that deliver impactful insights, rather than simply replicating or modifying a US-centric approach. Your experience with messaging data, knowledge of response rates and bias in consumer research, and strong track record of partnering with stakeholders to translate complex business problems into reliable analytic solutions will be key to your success in this role.

  • Partner with Researchers, Research Program Managers, Data Scientists, and Engineers to develop best practices in research recruitment strategy and allocation.
  • Contextualize and present data in compelling graphics for stakeholders and decision-makers in collaboration with researchers.
  • Advise on sampling trends and best practices in various countries to maximize response rates and preserve sample using member sample health monitoring tools.
  • Provide guidance on the feasibility of research considering various system constraints and data limitations.
  • Support post-field analytics problems by providing custom data appends and enriching the analysis of our research.
  • Conduct pre-field behavioral data exploration to support the research hypothesis and develop research objectives.

Requirements

  • Strong quantitative reasoning and analytical skills with programming knowledge and experience using survey software (e.g., Decipher/Focus Vision, Qualtrics, etc.).
  • Advanced ability to leverage SQL (5+ years) to extract and combine disparate data sources is required.
  • Familiarity with Tableau, R, Python, SAS, STATA, or similar programming languages is a plus.
  • Experience planning, developing, and maintaining research, data, and related databases and systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent organizational skills.
