About the position

As a Senior Research Analyst in Market Strategy & Understanding at Ipsos, you will play a pivotal role in supporting project teams and ensuring that client needs are met with precision and excellence. Your responsibilities will include engaging in client communications through various channels to understand their requirements and gather feedback, which will be essential for the successful execution of projects. You will familiarize yourself with key clients and accounts within the Service Line, which will enhance your ability to deliver tailored insights and solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing comprehensive reports and presentations, sharing updates with clients, and collaborating closely with the project lead to ensure the delivery of reliable and timely data. You will manage tasks throughout the project lifecycle, including link checking, data quality assessments, and report population, all while focusing on executional excellence and increasing your independence in managing projects from client approval to final deliverables. Your duties will also involve mentoring new analysts, reviewing and revising questionnaires, creating project materials, and managing internal project partners to keep projects on schedule and within scope. You will participate in analytic plan meetings, create report shells, and analyze survey data to interpret results effectively. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while resolving any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Works with project team and appropriate internal resources to meet client needs.
  • Participates in client communication (email, phone, etc.) to gain understanding of needs and capture client requests and feedback.
  • Familiarizes self with key clients/accounts within the Service Line.
  • Supports the preparation of reports and presentations.
  • Shares files and updates with clients as needed.
  • Executes and delivers reliable and timely data to clients by owning tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Focuses on executional excellence with increased independence.
  • Understands the project lifecycle for custom research and manages projects from client approval to deliverables with project lead oversight.
  • Collaborates with internal Ops partners and project lead in project execution.
  • Manages project timelines effectively.
  • Mentors new Analysts on core competencies.
  • Reviews and revises questionnaires as necessary.
  • Creates and submits project materials.
  • Manages internal project partners to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
  • Reviews and finalizes links and monitors fieldwork.
  • Reviews and finalizes data tables and proof reports.
  • Specifies, charts, and proofs report slides.
  • Manages multiple projects/priorities and resolves problems that arise during projects.
  • Participates in analytic plan meetings with the project team.
  • Creates report shell with project team direction and is responsible for timely and accurate report creation.
  • Reviews survey data and starts to analyze and interpret survey results.

Requirements

  • Strong skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in completing all tasks.
  • Highly organized with good time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively.
  • Clear and concise written communication skills.
  • Ability to positively interact with internal support teams.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to in-house operational forms, processes, and software.
  • Master's degree in Market Research, or a Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of primary, quantitative research experience in a professional setting.
