About the position

The Senior Research Analyst in the Office of Program Accountability at the Rochester City School District is responsible for analyzing and evaluating statistical data to improve and develop departmental programs and operations. This role involves program planning, facilitating internal work groups, and monitoring progress during plan implementation. The analyst will work under the supervision of senior staff and may supervise other research analysts or clerical personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data and statistics on departmental programs and operations.
  • Prepare narrative and statistical reports for review and approval.
  • Facilitate meetings, conferences, and group sessions.
  • Develop departmental plans as required.
  • Assist in preparing applications for grant funding.
  • Evaluate new programs for departmental operations.
  • Assist in developing budget proposals for functional units.
  • Supervise the work of subordinate staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in research analysis, program planning, data collection, or program statistical evaluation; OR
  • Master's degree plus two years of experience as defined above; OR
  • Master's degree in relevant fields with 18 credit hours in research or quantitative methods and one year of experience as defined above; OR
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Good knowledge of research analysis principles and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of group facilitation and Total Quality Management procedures.
  • Ability to organize and present complex information effectively.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $60,000 to $105,000 per year.
