As a Senior Research Associate in Biological Modeling at Tempus, you will play a pivotal role in advancing precision medicine and transforming clinical outcomes through innovative research. Our proprietary platform leverages real-world evidence to provide actionable insights to physicians, ensuring that patients receive the most effective treatments at the right time. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to developing physiologically relevant 3D cancer models that closely mimic the architecture of patient tumors. This position involves generating and characterizing patient-derived organoids and tissue models, which are crucial for drug discovery and the development of novel treatment strategies. In this role, you will work collaboratively with a team of passionate scientists and research technicians to culture and maintain cell lines and organoids, as well as handle human tissue specimens. You will perform routine testing and cell culture procedures, conduct advanced cell and molecular biology assays according to established laboratory protocols, and assist with assay development and procedure optimization. Keeping accurate data records and performing data analysis for routine testing will also be part of your responsibilities. Your contributions will be essential in evaluating therapeutic responses using advanced ex vivo cancer models and characterizing molecular features associated with treatment outcomes.
