About the position

The Senior Research Associate at Augusta University's School of Public Health plays a crucial role in supporting public health researchers by synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data, contributing to research proposals and manuscripts, and developing evaluation plans for public health programs. This position emphasizes collaboration, community engagement, and scholarly productivity, aiming to address public health challenges through innovative research and education.

Responsibilities

• Synthesizes qualitative and quantitative information from a variety of sources.
• Contributes to research proposal development and scientific manuscripts.
• Develops and implements evaluation plans for public health programs.
• Assists in planning, scheduling, and logistics coordination of public health programs and events.
• Conducts literature reviews.
• Performs in-depth interviews, focus groups, survey design and administration, site visits, data management, data analysis, and report writing.
• Trains, develops, and coordinates junior staff utilization.
• Responsible for IRB submission, coordination, revisions, and compliance.
• Performs all other related duties/tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Master's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area with two years of experience in research, basic science or clinical laboratory, particularly clinical trial research; OR Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years' research and/or clinical experience; previous supervisory experience.
