About the position

The Senior Research Manager at Harvard Kennedy School will lead longitudinal research focused on student, program, and employer outcomes in Career & Technical Education (CTE) healthcare schools and hospitals across more than 10 sites nationwide. This role involves managing data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings to support program improvement and inform stakeholders. The Senior Research Manager will collaborate closely with project co-directors and various stakeholders to ensure effective project execution and communication of results.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a longitudinal study of CTE healthcare pathways at 10+ sites across the country
  • Support sites' data collection and reporting
  • Support evidence-based continuous program improvement
  • Lead evidence and data collection and analysis
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, stakeholders, research assistants, and project vendors
  • Draft papers and articles distilling and communicating findings
  • Lead communications and convenings to disseminate project results

Requirements

  • Master's degree in economics, public policy, public administration, political science, or closely related fields
  • A minimum of 3 years of research management experience, including research design and implementation

Nice-to-haves

  • Ph.D. in education, economics, business, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience communicating research and data insights to educators, employers, policymakers, or philanthropy
  • Demonstrated success designing and executing longitudinal data collection efforts and communicating results to different audiences, including practitioners
  • Demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative education and/or workforce data collection and analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in program evaluation, including descriptive and causal analysis
  • Demonstrated success managing complex projects, timelines, and stakeholders
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including clear and concise writing for a variety of audiences
  • Commitment to the Project on Workforce mission of building better pathways to economic mobility
