About the position

The Senior Research Scientist - RF / Machine Learning (RFML) position at Peraton Labs involves leading the design, development, and prototyping of RF machine learning algorithms. This role is critical in delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges faced by government agencies and commercial customers, particularly in the realm of cybersecurity and digital signal processing. The position requires a strong background in RF domain knowledge and machine learning frameworks, with a focus on on-site collaboration in College Park, MD.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and prototyping of RF machine learning algorithms.
  • Apply expertise in digital signal processing and RF domain knowledge to various programs.
  • Collaborate with teams to deliver innovative solutions for government and commercial clients.
  • Utilize modern machine learning development frameworks to enhance research capabilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with a BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; or 3 years with a PhD.
  • Strong digital signal processing skills and RF domain knowledge.
  • Familiarity with software defined radio platforms (e.g., Ettus USRPs) and software (e.g., GNU Radio).
  • Expertise with modern machine learning development frameworks (e.g., Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • US Citizen with an Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.
