About the position

The Senior Research Scientist - RF / Machine Learning (RFML) at Peraton is responsible for leading the design, development, and prototyping of RF machine learning algorithms. This role requires a strong background in digital signal processing and RF domain knowledge, as well as expertise in modern machine learning frameworks. The position is based in College Park, MD, and requires 100% on-site work. The candidate will contribute to innovative solutions and capabilities that address complex challenges for government agencies and commercial customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and prototyping of RF machine learning algorithms.
• Apply expertise in digital signal processing and RF domain knowledge to various programs.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver innovative solutions for complex challenges.
• Utilize modern machine learning development frameworks in projects.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience with a BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD.
• Strong digital signal processing skills and RF domain knowledge.
• Familiarity with common software defined radio platforms (e.g., Ettus USRPs) and software (e.g., GNU Radio).
• Expertise with modern machine learning development frameworks (e.g., Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• US Citizen with an Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.
