About the position

Peraton is seeking a Senior Research Scientist specializing in RF and Machine Learning (RFML) to join our team in College Park, MD. This position is critical to our mission of delivering innovative solutions and capabilities that address complex challenges faced by government agencies and commercial customers. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in RF machine learning algorithms to lead the design, development, and prototyping of advanced systems that enhance our cybersecurity research and protect mission-critical infrastructures. Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and prototyping of RF machine learning algorithms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for government and commercial clients.
  • Conduct research and development in cybersecurity to protect mission-critical systems.
  • Utilize digital signal processing skills to enhance RF domain knowledge and applications.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of technological advancements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with a BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with an MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with a PhD.
  • Strong digital signal processing skills and RF domain knowledge.
  • Familiarity with common software defined radio platforms (e.g., Ettus USRPs) and software (e.g., GNU Radio).
  • Expertise with modern machine learning development frameworks (e.g., Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Must be a US Citizen with an Active TS/SCI clearance and Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with advanced machine learning techniques and algorithms.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
