About the position

The Senior Revenue Accountant at Sprinklr is responsible for overseeing revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606, analyzing revenue metrics, and ensuring accurate recording of customer contracts. This role involves collaboration with various teams, including Sales Operations and Accounts Receivable, to support revenue-related tasks and audits, while also contributing to the design and implementation of global revenue process controls.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606.
  • Analyze and report key revenue metrics and results.
  • Provide guidance to the order entry team to ensure customer contracts are recorded accurately.
  • Work closely with Sales Operations and Accounts Receivable teams on all customer contract matters.
  • Perform the monthly close tasks associated with revenue; preparation of various reconciliations, revenue journal entries and revenue related analysis.
  • Perform the monthly close tasks associated with ASC340-40 and capitalized commissions.
  • Work closely with external audit team regarding all quarterly review and annual audit requirements.
  • Assist in the design, development and implementation of global revenue process controls.
  • Support the completion of all revenue related disclosures in the financial statements.
  • Participate in ad‐hoc projects as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other finance related concentration.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in Revenue Accounting in high-tech organizations (a mix of public accounting or other public firm experience and US companies).
  • Strong understanding and experience in applying ASC 606 guidance to SAAS contracts.
  • Interface with internal and external audit on revenue related issues, support US GAAP audit and maintain SOX controls.
  • Responsible for month-end and quarter-end close revenue and contra revenue tasks, review contracts, prepare reporting packages and perform analysis.
  • Document and maintain relevant policies and desktop procedures and identify process improvements.
  • Provide revenue accounting guidance and drive efficiencies to cross functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with NetSuite, Power BI and moderate to advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • CPA certification preferred.
