About the position

The Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst will lead advanced analytic projects to support RWJBarnabas Health by utilizing data to address strategic and research challenges. This role involves managing large and complex data sets, building machine learning models, and conducting analyses to provide actionable insights for Revenue Cycle and Finance initiatives. The analyst will present findings through innovative visualizations and ensure data accuracy while preparing comprehensive reports.

Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced analytic projects supporting RWJBarnabas Health.
  • Wrangle large and complex data sets for analysis.
  • Build machine learning models to support Revenue Cycle and Finance initiatives.
  • Conduct analyses and present results in innovative formats and visualizations.
  • Perform data collection and statistical analyses, interpreting results and verifying data accuracy.
  • Prepare final reports using various software and tools.
  • Evaluate data quality and support data governance activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in business analytics & healthcare revenue cycle or equivalent education/experience.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong proficiency in healthcare data analytics, advanced statistical analysis, or predictive analytics.
  • Experience with structured and unstructured data, and relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL programming software (e.g., SQL Server, Snowflake, Oracle).
  • Extensive experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Operations (Claim Preparation, Submission, Management, Posting, Collection).
  • Experience with data mining, predictive modeling, and machine learning.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics tools such as Tableau.
  • Experience with visualization/BI tools and automated reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Crystal Reports, Power BI).
  • Ability to perform complex analyses for strategic and research projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in business management or finance.
  • Experience with automation/robotics/macros to support business operations.
