About the position

The Senior Revenue Cycle (RC) Analyst is a pivotal role within the Revenue Cycle RI & Analytics department at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. This position is responsible for the development and delivery of comprehensive data analysis, providing strategic insights and commentary on various hospital and professional Revenue Cycle services. These services encompass patient access, coding, revenue integrity, charge capture, and revenue cycle billing, as well as departmental accounts receivable management and finance. The role is designed for a fast-paced environment, utilizing data analytics and technology to create and enhance Epic and Tableau dashboards, reports, cubes, and other analytical tools to meet the growing needs of the health system. As a member of the RC Analytics team, the Senior RC Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Revenue Cycle division by developing and managing data extracts that facilitate the use of various Revenue Cycle vendors and cloud-based operational tools. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations, both in hospital and professional services, and will be adept at quickly developing new concepts to meet the requests of executive leadership. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver summarized data analysis with strategic insights for Revenue Cycle services.
• Design and develop Epic and Tableau dashboards, reports, and other analytical tools.
• Support the Revenue Cycle division through data extract development and management.
• Collaborate with various Revenue Cycle vendors and operational tools to enhance data analytics capabilities.
• Fulfill executive leadership requests by developing new concepts and analytical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree is required; Master's Degree or significant progress towards completion preferred.
• At least three years' experience in a healthcare setting as a financial or business-related analyst.
• Experience writing SQL query scripting is required.
• Experience using Epic is highly desired.
• Professional Certifications or Licenses preferred (HFMA, AAPC, AHIMA, NAHAM, HIMSS).
• Epic Accreditation or Certification is preferred in areas such as Prelude, Cadence, Resolute HB/PB SBO, Cogito, Access Data Model, Revenue Data Model, Clarity Data Model, and/or Caboodle Data Model.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with VBA, DAX, and Python is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
