About the position

The Senior Revenue Management Analyst position at Trinity Health is a full-time role that provides specialized technical and analytical support for the Unified Revenue Organization (URO). This position is hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote and on-site work. The analyst will be responsible for complex assignments that require a deep understanding of revenue management, particularly in areas such as wage index analyses, Medicare bad debt, and Medicare DSH reimbursement. The role demands strong analytical, investigative, and evaluative skills, as well as the ability to manage or lead small projects or portions of projects. Key responsibilities include accessing databases and utilizing reporting tools to extract data, generate reports, and perform data analysis. The analyst will also draft recommendations for system and process improvements. The position requires interfacing with various levels of management and internal executive leaders, making presentations, and serving as a subject matter expert. The analyst will analyze, evaluate, and interpret data, processes, systems, and policies, conducting impact analyses and modeling to assess trends and identify risks. In addition, the analyst will participate in the development of process improvement initiatives, define project plans and goals, and manage small projects. They will assist in identifying operational and financial metrics, design and maintain systems that provide financial and operational information, and support the standardization of financial information systems across the URO. The role also involves conducting system/data integrity checks and audits, and providing guidance and problem resolution on complex situations. The analyst must maintain a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, ensuring adherence to ethical and professional standards.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Informatics or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Five to seven years of progressively responsible operational or consulting experience in revenue management.
  • Some knowledge and experience of the healthcare industry or hospital financial operations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio) and financial systems/software.
  • High degree of analytical, quantitative, evaluative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Considerable knowledge and experience in reporting and analytics for revenue management functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of project plan development, workflow analysis, and change management methodologies.
  • Experience in auditing, consulting, or reimbursement systems in healthcare.
