Cubic Defense is seeking a highly skilled engineer to lead the hardware development of advanced electronic systems, specifically focusing on Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) technology, digital beam forming, and analog beam forming systems. This role involves the development, implementation, and validation of procedures to calibrate multiple communication systems within an RF Anechoic chamber. The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering fellows to design RF architecture that meets customer system requirements, ensuring that all technical specifications are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle. As a Control Account Manager (CAM), you will be responsible for managing the RF team's budget and schedule for assigned projects, ensuring that all deliverables are met on time and within budget. This position also requires leading the laboratory integration of hardware, software, and firmware, demonstrating these systems to customers to showcase their capabilities. You will be tasked with completing Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) block diagrams, component identification, circuit simulation, schematic capture, board layout, and fabrication using tools such as Altium, HFSS, Spice, Genesys, HyperLynx, and Visio. Additionally, you will work closely with facilities to relocate the mmWave Anechoic test chamber to a new building and expand testing capabilities to include Ka-band frequencies. Managing suppliers through the PWB fabrication and CCA assembly processes will be a key responsibility, as will coordinating with the supply chain to ensure timely completion of all Purchase Orders. You will also oversee other engineers and technicians in the lab, performing make vs buy analyses to determine the most optimal solutions for project needs. This is an on-site position following a 9/80 work schedule, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.
