About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Senior RF Engineer to join their team in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. This role involves supporting the development and production of complex multi-function modules for high-reliability applications throughout the product life cycle. The engineer will design and develop circuits and sub-systems, solve complex technical problems, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with various engineering disciplines. Responsibilities

  • Support the development and production of complex multi-function modules.
  • Design and develop circuits, modules, and sub-systems from concept to production.
  • Solve complex technical problems with innovative solutions.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers on the team.
  • Contribute to or author proposals and participate in business capture efforts.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers, systems engineers, and manufacturing support personnel.

Requirements

  • BS degree in electrical engineering or closely related technical field.
  • 5 years of relevant professional engineering experience.
  • Experience with successful RF design.
  • Experience with Schematic Capture, RF Block Diagram Reviews, and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA).
  • Experience troubleshooting designs and resolving integration issues.
  • Experience using microwave test equipment and microwave simulation tools.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen eligible for a secret clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • MS in electrical engineering or a closely related technical field.
  • Relevant experience in the defense electronics industry.
  • Knowledge of RF subsystems and hardware including antennas, transmitters, receivers, and amplifiers.
  • Experience leading other engineers on technical tasks.
  • Experience with 3D electromagnetic simulation tools.
  • Experience with microelectronics assembly techniques.
  • Knowledge of technical documentation such as specifications and schematic diagrams.
