About the position

As a Senior RF Hardware Design Engineer at Morse Micro, you will play a pivotal role in the development of next-generation Wi-Fi chips that are essential for the Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Based in Taipei, you will collaborate with a team of experienced professionals and engineers, some of whom were instrumental in inventing the original Wi-Fi technology. Your expertise in electronics hardware development for RF devices will be crucial as you create and commission new application reference designs tailored to meet customer needs. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire spectrum of RF hardware design, including the development of new application reference designs, conducting RF key parts surveys, and designing RF circuits. You will be involved in electronics hardware development and debugging, with a strong emphasis on RF design. Testing and validating both new and existing designs will be a significant part of your role, ensuring that all hardware meets specifications and regulatory standards. You will also be tasked with RF measurement and matching tuning, optimizing RF performance, and characterizing reference designs. Investigating performance improvements and assisting team members with system integration will further enhance your contributions. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to train and coach junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Development of new application reference designs
  • RF key parts survey and RF circuit design
  • Electronics hardware development and debug with emphasis on RF design
  • Test and validation of new and existing designs
  • RF measurement and matching tuning, RF performance optimization and characterization for reference designs
  • Investigating performance improvements
  • Bringing up new hardware designs and ensuring they meet spec and regulatory standards
  • Assisting other team members for system integration
  • Train and coach junior level engineers.

Requirements

  • BSc in Electrical / Electronics / Communication Engineering
  • 10 years relevant industry experience as an electronics engineer or RF engineer
  • Highly proficient with Altium Designer both schematic and PCB layout
  • Experienced in full product development life cycle from requirement definition through to design, implementation, test, and validation
  • Experience with wireless systems design & validation
  • Wireless systems bench testing with equipment such as vector signal generators, vector signal analysers and vector network analysers
  • Electronics validation and debugging
  • Experience with regulatory certification of electronics devices
  • Ability to work in Linux
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Strong technical documentation skills
